About making name of Chapainawabgonj there had been different saying that is - during ruling of Nawab Alibordi Khan this palace was amusement for Nawabs family. Nawab & his stuffs are used to come here for hunting. And Nawab used to come regular to this Place thats why this place is called for Nawabgonj. There was Moheshpur village far away 10 t0 12 km from nawabgonj and there lived a beauty queen dancer CHAMPABOTI. Chapia name is come from Chmapaboti. And she became favorite to Nawabs for dancing. And thus Chapainawabgonj name has become according to her names. Many people cherish this idea.
